Among the most recent churches in Città della Pieve, the Church of the Gesù was built in 1786 but completed in 1798 by architect Clemente Moghini. Its neoclassical façade clearly references the façade of the Church of the Gesù in Rome, designed by Vignola.

Inside, the main altar features a sculpture of the statue of the dead Christ, while the first altar, near the entrance, houses a canvas by Pomarancio depicting the Beheading of John the Baptist.
