Day 2 – From Panicale to Fontignano

Your second day starts descending from downtown Panicale, while walking admire Lake Trasimeno and the surrounding agricultural countryside between Umbria and Tuscany. From Via delle Vieniche begins the ups and downs that lead to Mongiovino vecchio and the Sanctuary of Mongiovino. Continue through the thick woods along Mount Solare to get to Montali; there stop and enjoy the view of Lake Trasimeno and the Nestore valley. This stretch ends at the tomb of Perugino in the small village of Fontignano.
