Located in the heart of the village of Mantignana, the Church of Santa Maria Assunta stands on a site of ancient religious worship. Its architecture, the result of renovations that have shaped its harmonious appearance, is characterized by a simple façade and a welcoming interior. Particularly striking is the bell tower, rising above the village’s rooftops, serving as a visual landmark for the entire surrounding valley.

The interior features a single nave. A particularly noteworthy feature is the high altar, which dominates the presbytery with its solemnity. Along the side walls, minor altars adorned with exquisitely crafted paintings and wooden statues can be admired. The ceiling and walls are enriched with tempera or stucco decorations that emphasize the architectural lines, creating a play of light and shadow.
