It is one of the most important examples of hydraulic engineering. Built on the valley floor, between Ponticelli and Chiusi, the elegant brick building, constructed in the 18th century, served as an artificial watershed for the Chianetta Canal. The project was carried out by Egidio Maria Bordoni in collaboration with Antonio Felice Facci. It was mistakenly attributed in the past to Andrea Vici, who, in fact, created the plaque on the main façade.
