Ceramic representation of the Via Romea-Germanica

Historical place Museum / place of art Trekking

The Via Romea Germanica is an ancient pilgrimage route, documented for the first time in the 13th century by Abbot Alberto on his way from Stade to Rome.
In Villastrada, in the Municipality of Castiglione del Lago, in 2015 the Sporting Club designed and produced a beautiful ceramic on which the path of the Via Romea Germanica in the municipal area is shown, near Lake Trasimeno. A valuable work of art that recalls others, of the same type, which can be admired, for example, on the Route of Santiago. For the Via Romea Germanica it is absolutely the first! It immediately conveys the image and emotion of the journey, demonstrating at the same time how this project can stimulate art.
