Built at the end of the 19th century, it constitutes a separate body but in continuity with the monumental complex that developed around the Church Museum of San Francesco.
The Philharmonic society, already existing since 1882, expanded the structure of the theater, creating a forepart to the oldest part, adjacent to a stone wall.
