The traditional processing of marsh reed widespread on the shores of the lake since ancient times is today continued by the Zoppitelli family, which has been operating in the sector for over 50 years and now represents a unique reality of its kind.

In addition to the craftsmanship of shading, insulating panels (marsh reed is in fact the most bio-ecological of materials for insulation), umbrellas for beaches and gardens, cane roofs, fences, outdoor and indoor furniture in wood and matting, the company also offers guided tours to observe both a highly evocative habitat and the old tools used and the various stages of the manufacturing process of the reed: a real ‘open-air museum’ of a profession that is progressively disappearing.
