Discover the authentic taste of Umbria during a truffle hunting among the amazing hills of the valley of the Chiesa del Carmine!
The one that once was an abandoned valley, nowadays is a flourishing farm nestled at the foot of Monte Tezio. Here, you will be with Massimo, our truffle expert, with his dog and with a local guide. Massimo will be more than happy to make his experience and friendliness available to answer to any question about the local flora and fauna!
After the truffle hunting we will go back to the Winery of Carmine where you will be served with a tasting of truffle. The menu includes a series of truffle-based courses, matched with wines made in our estate by our sommelier Mattia, who will tell the philosophy and the history behind our wines.
The tasting includes:
- Homemade bread made with ancient Etruscan grains and served with fava bean-pate and black truffle
- Chicken-liver pate
- Black truffle sauce
- Organic extra-virgin olive oil Chiesa del Carmine 2020
- Salad of fagiolina-bean and Tench of Lake Trasimeno
- Matched wines: Indigeno Trebbiano 2018, Rosa della Chiesa 2019, Rosabella 2019
- Umbrian cold cuts made by Nonna Maria
