Tuoro has always been a community strictly connected to its land, to the cultivation of the valley, to fishing in the lake and to the collection of mountain products. This symbiosis with the surrounding environment took place through the various communities scattered throughout the countryside. The main ones are Borghetto, Vernazzano and Piazzano, beyond Tuoro itself.
The route is quite challenging, for altitude and distance covered, about 43.3 km (26.90 miles approx.), and represents a sort of thread that stitches together the various parts constituting the municipal territory.
